    The Professional Development Workshop (PDW) on 'Contemporizing Development Economics Research on Innovation Systems, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability' seeks to deepen and broaden research on some key dimensions of development economics – i.e. innovation systems, entrepreneurship and sustainability. The PDW will engage with a broad range of topics introduced and elaborated by a panel of expert scholars. The workshop has six major sub-themes:

    1.        Innovation Systems & Industrial Development

    2.       Entrepreneurship & Creation of New Economic Opportunities

    3.       Innovation & Sustainable Development

    4.       Technological Progress & Economic Development

    5.       Institutions & Policy Frameworks

    6.       Trade & Intellectual Property Rights

     

    The integrative and developmental approach of this workshop would provide participants a forum to learn and discuss diverse research questions/ methodological issues related to specific sub-topics through rigorous discussions in the round-table groups. The workshop also brings a great networking opportunity for participants to further explore the avenues for future research collaborations in this area.
