Salary: CAD 55 000 annually plus benefits. The Fellow will also receive a CAD 5000 stipend towards research project or conference travel expenses.
The Centre for Social Impact at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow.
Job Description:
The Centre for Social Impact at Smith School of Business, Queen's University is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow for a 2-year limited appointment to advance its research mission. More specifically, the Fellow will lead and support research exploring heritage, culture and community development with the intent to publish in both academic and practitioner journals. This position requires full-time work in research activities, with opportunities to co-author publications and present research at national and international conferences. Relevant research background includes: community development, social innovation and entrepreneurship, organizational theory, strategy, culture, heritage, traditions, and qualitative research methodologies.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate has a PhD or equivalent Doctoral degree in a related field, completed by the start date of the posting. They must demonstrate strong writing skills in both academic and practitioner contexts. The candidate must also demonstrate experience in conducting qualitative research and have knowledge in institutional theory, heritage, culture and traditions. Prior experience working with Indigenous Peoples in a research capacity is an asset.
