Salary: CAD 55 000 annually plus benefits. The candidate will also receive a CAD 5000 stipend towards research project or conference travel expenses.
The Centre for Social Impact at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow.
Job Description:
The Centre for Social Impact at Smith School of Business, Queen's University is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to advance its research mission. More specifically, the candidate will lead and support research exploring the intersection between culture, institutions and community with the intent to publish in both academic and practitioner journals. This position requires full-time work in research activities, with opportunities to co-author publications and present research at national and international conferences. Relevant research background includes: institutional theory, culture and qualitative research methodologies. This is a one-year position, with the possibility for renewal for an additional year contingent on achievements. Teaching opportunities may also be available to the successful candidate.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate has a PhD or equivalent Doctoral degree in a related field, completed by the start date of the posting. They must demonstrate strong writing skills in both academic and practitioner contexts. The candidate must also demonstrate strength and experience in conducting qualitative research and have knowledge of the literature on institutional theory, community, culture and traditions. Prior experience working with Indigenous Peoples in a research capacity is an asset.
