    Position Summary
    McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management invites applications for
    a position in the Strategy and Organization Area at the Assistant
    (tenure-track), Associate or Full (tenured) Professor level. We seek
    candidates with high research achievement or potential and strong commitment
    to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

    McGill is a leading research-intensive university located in the heart of
    Montreal, a cosmopolitan, bilingual city with a diverse and vibrant cultural
    life. The Desautels Faculty of Management has over 70 full-time professors
    and over 3000 students in the BCom, MBA, and PhD programs, as well as a
    range of executive offerings.

    Faculty in the Strategy and Organization Area conduct research with a
    variety of approaches in strategy, organization theory, international
    business, innovation, and entrepreneurship, including management in
    developing and transition economies, not-for-profit organizations, and
    environmental and social issues. Professors have a range of disciplinary
    backgrounds, and enjoy a high level of independence in their research and
    teaching endeavors. McGill's emphasis is on quality, innovation, and impact.

    Qualifications
    Minimum qualifications: (1) Ph.D. degree (completed or expected by August
    2012) in Management, Strategy, International Business, Entrepreneurship,
    Organizational Theory, or a related field; (2) a strong record of research
    publication, or, for new graduates, demonstrated potential to conduct and
    publish high quality and innovative research; (3) evidence of effective
    teaching.

    Preference will be given to candidates: i) whose research and teaching are
    in the areas of entrepreneurship and/or sustainability; ii) with experience
    in a tenure-track or tenured position.

    Your application should include: (1) a letter expressing your interest; (2)
    curriculum vitae; (3) a brief research statement; (4) a brief statement of
    teaching philosophy plus documentation of teaching effectiveness; (5) three
    letters of reference (preferably also sent electronically); and (6) copies
    of representative research article(s), including the full paper you would
    present if invited for a campus visit. Doctoral candidates should submit a
    sample chapter or paper from their dissertation.
