The Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management<http://www.mcgill.ca/desautels/integrated-management/about-mdiim> (MDIIM)'s Social Economy Initiative<http://www.mcgill.ca/desautels/integrated-management/mdiim-initiatives/social-economy-initiative> (SEI) at McGill University<http://www.mcgill.ca/> is establishing a new observatory of the social economy in Montreal's south-west Quartier de l'Innovation<http://quartierinnovationmontreal.com/> district called the Social Innovators' Integration Lab (SIIL) with local partners. SIIL will be housed within the Salon 1861 - a local church that is being repurposed for community engagement, social innovation and social entrepreneurship - and will provide physical as well as virtual space for value-added interaction between students, researchers, practitioners, and community members.
A postdoctoral research associate will be hired beginning January 2016 to help manage the research, education and outreach platform and conduct her/his own social economy research for two years, with the possibility of extension. I would appreciate your help identifying top candidates and circulating the posting within your networks.
