Job Description:
McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management invites applications for a tenure-track position in Organizational Behaviour (www.mcgill.ca/desautels/ob) starting August 2016. Successful candidates will be expected to sustain a cutting-edge, high quality research program and publish in top journals, to work actively with doctoral students, and to teach classes in our undergraduate and graduate programs. We encourage applications from advanced Assistant Professors but will consider applications at all levels. Salary is negotiable, according to qualifications and experience.
The Organizational Behaviour Area currently has ten tenure-track professors (four of whom are tenured). Drawing on a full range of theories and methods, members of the area are committed to conducting research that helps to explain an array of workplace phenomena, as well as advance greater equality and social sustainability in contemporary society and our increasingly globally-integrated world. Current research being conducted in the Area covers such topics as work, occupations and careers; diversity and social equality; identity; leadership; authenticity and conformity; entrepreneurship; organizational change; arts and leadership; social capital; mental representations; power relationships; and management in developing countries. Faculty have published in a wide range of top-tier research journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, American Journal of Sociology, American Sociological Review, Human Resource Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of International Business Studies, Management Science, Organization Science, Organization Studies, and Strategic Management Journal.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a record of research publications in high quality, peer-reviewed journals, evidence of effective teaching, and clear promise of pursuing an interesting and innovative research agenda. Whereas teaching is done in English, knowledge of French or a willingness to learn French is desirable.
