Dear OMT Listserv Members:
Hope you are looking forward to a Great Holiday Season and Happy New Year!
Two Important Messages:
First, in the spirit of holiday giving, what better gift to your fellow OMT members than to sign up to review for the OMT this year?
Beginning last year AoM implemented a new centralized review system and reviewers are required to sign up every year. As of December 13, 2006, 669 of you have already done so. Thanks to all 669 of you!. For this year we need at least 800 reviewers and preferably more. We are well on our way.
OMT takes pride in the excellent reviews we provides our members as part of the peer-review process for the Annual AoM Meeting. Your expertise is highly valued.
To sign up, please visit http://review.aomonline.org, and choose your areas of expertise (i.e. keywords) for which you want to review. The sign-up process is easy and fast. Reviewers who sign-up will be asked to review between two and five submissions. I will do my best to keep it to three or under.
The review period for the 2007 annual meeting is from January 15, 2007 (Submission Deadline) to February 13, 2007 (Review Deadline). Please
check your work schedule to make sure that you will be able to review during this period. If you sign up early you may have more time to review papers as reviewers will be assigned on a rolling basis. Already 48 of you have been assigned papers to review. Thanks to all you.
Again I appreciate your assistance in achieving our target and helping OMT remain the place to be!
Second, we look forward to your submission to the OMT for the 2007 AoM Meeting. OMT offers the best program in the Academy and I hope that 2007 will be no exception. The papers and symposia are starting to trickle in- we have already 16 finalized submissions. We expect over 600 by the January 15, 2007 submission deadline.
You will be at an advantage if you submit your paper or symposium proposal early. I will be assigning reviewers to papers and symposia by order of finalized submission. Reviewers are assigned to papers by keywords. The earlier you submit your paper the more likely you will get reviewers who match on all three (or at least two) of your selected keywords.
All papers and symposium must be submitted on the Academy website. Please visit the website http://meeting.aomonline.org/2007/ for more information.
Again, Happy Holidays and thanks to all.
Best,
Willie Ocasio
2007 Program Chair
