    Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to a  PDW on Trends in Entrepreneurial Finance Research: Women Entrepreneurs Changing the World?  The session will be Saturday August 11th at the Swissotel Chicago in Alpine II from 5:45pm to 7:45pm and is sponsored by the Strategy, Technology & Innovation Management, Organization and Management Theory and Entrepreneurship Divisions. No pre-registration is required for this PDW.

The theme of the PDW this year is investments in women entrepreneurs. There has been a long-standing underrepresentation of women on both the entrepreneur and investor sides of the venture investment market. Moreover, as with other industries, the venture investment industry was also touched by the #MeToo movement. The aim of our forum this year is to draw together scholars from a variety of disciplines and perspectives to discuss this, with a particular eye-toward how empirical evidence can speak to practice – and how it might do so better in the future. We anticipate a lively session as the PDW will include comments from the panelists as well as a discussion and Q&A from the audience.

Panelists: Yael Hochberg, Ethan Mollick, Olav Sorenson & Mary Tripsas

Organizers:  Emily Cox Pahnke, Benjamin Hallen & Riitta Katila
