STRATEGIC LEARNING IN PRACTICE: UNDERSTANDING THE COMPLEXITY OF
ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING AND CHANGE
(Sub-Theme 37, EGOS Colloquium, Montreal 2013)
In complex and constantly changing environments a firms ability to adapt
and to learn is central to its survival. Given the turbulent nature of the
economic, social and political environments in which firms operate, it is
critical to better understand how learning and changing are taking place
across levels and units of analysis (individuals, groups and organisations,
industries).
The aim of this sub-theme is to understand the complexity of learning and
changing practices and their strategic imperative. By adopting a strategic
orientation to learning and changing we seek to capture and help support the
development of cutting edge theory and empirical research on these issues.
We warmly invite you to submit your short paper to our sub-theme, mindful
that the theme is relevant to your scholarship. Please find the Call for
Papers attached. If you have any questions please dont hesitate to contact
Barbara Müller (

is January, 14th 2013, for further information visit EGOS website:
