Dear friends,
I write to you today with an update about our OMT Division leadership.
Due to personal reasons, Pat Thornton – who was recently elected as our new PDW chair, and future Program and Division Chair – regrettably has had to resign from her role.
In such circumstances, the bylaws of the Academy of Management require the Executive Committee to appoint a replacement for the unexpired portion of the term (which, in this case, corresponds almost entirely to the full five year term).
After careful consideration, the OMT Executive Committee has decided to return to the most recent voting results and ask Martin Kilduff, the close runner-up last year, to step in as a new PDW Chair, and future Program and Division Chair. Martin is a long-standing member and enthusiastic supporter of OMT. He kindly accepted and he is already at work on the PDW call and program.
Please join me in thanking Martin for stepping in at short-notice (during his sabbatical year!), and Pat for her ongoing dedication and commitment to OMT.
