The Journal of Management Inquiry (JMI) is pleased to announce Pablo Martin de Holan as the new Co-Editor-in-Chief for JMI effective January 2018.

Pablo (Ph.D., McGill University) currently serves as the founding Dean of Graduate Studies and Research and is a professor of strategy at MBSC (Prince Mohammad Bin Salman College) in Saudi Arabia. Prior to MBSC, he was on the Faculty at EMLYON in Lyon, France, a Full Professor at IE Business School in Madrid, and the Bombardier Chair of Entrepreneurship at the University of Alberta. To date, Pablo has taught in over 30 countries in three different languages. Author of several book chapters and over 25 academic articles (including JMI), he has served as a JMI associate editor since January 2015.

Pablo assumes the role from Nelson Phillips, who has served in this capacity since January 2009 and now joins the esteemed list of emeriti editors-in-chief. During Nelson's eight years as editor-in-chief, JMI solidified its distinctive status as a journal that is scholarly, catalytic, eclectic, and groundbreaking, consolidating its distinctiveness and its appeal within our academic community. Nelson provided unwavering leadership for JMI, and his distinctively Canadian prairies style of iron thoughts wrapped in velvet words will guide all of us in the years to come. We – including those affiliated with JMI and the Western Academy of Management – are thankful for his kindness, his generosity, and his intelligence. We wish Nelson all the success in his future endeavors and happiness in all aspects of his life. Please join us in a virtual round of applause to thank him for a job well done. As Uruguayan poet Mario Benedetti wrote, we "do not know how much we owe him, but we know it is immense". Thank you, Nelson.
