Are you using qualitative methods in your dissertation? If so, would you like...

"Navigating Qualitative Dissertations: Advice from the Experts" is a Professional Development Workshop aimed at providing doctoral candidates performing dissertations that incorporate qualitative methods (i.e., mixed-method or purely qualitative dissertations) with focused feedback from experienced qualitative researchers. This session will include intimate roundtable discussions personalized to participants' dissertations. It will also include more general roundtable discussions addressing topics of broader interest to bourgeoning qualitative scholars including crafting an identity as a qualitative researcher, the benefits and challenges of qualitative research, and publishing qualitative work. We will also provide an opportunity for doctoral students to network with established qualitative scholars.

This workshop is now in its fifth year at AOM's annual conference and features a diverse mix of scholars with experience in a variety of qualitative methods and expertise in an array of topics. We are proud to have the following scholars participating this year (in alphabetical order): Blake Ashforth, Jean Bartunek, Tammy Beck, Marya Besharov, Shelley Brickson, Curtis Chan, Kevin Corley, Ann Cunliffe, Katy DeCelles, Gail Fairhurst, Lyndon Garett, Emily Heaphy, Elaine Hollensbe, Shalini Khazanchi, Glen Kreiner, Jamie Ladge, Kisha Lashley, Christi Lockwood, Courtney Masterson, Carrie Oelberger, Tommaso Ramus, Trish Reay, Erin Reid, Kristie Rogers, Bess Rouse, Kira Schabram, Beth Schinoff, Scott Sonenshein, John Paul Stephens, and Heather Vough.
