    Greetings Fellow OMT Division Members,

    It is my pleasure to invite you to the 13th Annual Quantum Storytelling Conference.  Below is the call for abstracts:

    Call for Abstracts:  13th Annual Quantum Storytelling Conference

     

    Theme:  Organizing with Together-Telling

     

    Dates & Location:  December 13-17, 2023 at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee

     

    Overview:  This conference is hosted by Fisk University.

     

    Fisk University is a private historically black liberal arts college in Nashville, Tennessee.  Founded in 1866, this 40 acre campus is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is the oldest institute for higher education in Nashville. 

     

    The conference features conventional sessions, keynote speakers, and a taste of Nashville's rich history. 

     

    We are inviting one to two-page abstracts on the following topics:

     

    ·         Antenarratives

    ·         Narratives

    ·         Storytelling

    ·         Indigenous Storytelling in Organizations

    ·         African-American Storytelling for Organizing

    ·         Storytelling Techniques from the Humanities & Social Sciences

    ·         Stories of Organizational Deviance

    ·         Narratives of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

    ·         True Storytelling Interventions

    ·         Other perspectives that embrace the diversity of storytelling research 

     

    This is a great opportunity to meet fellow scholars and practitioners who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about these concepts! 

     

    Special issues in the journals, Tamara and Organizational Storytelling Review follow this conference's theme, and participants will have the opportunity to meet the editors.

    Submission Deadline:  September 15, 2023.  Abstracts must be submitted via email to Dr. Duncan Pelly, Chair of the Business Department at Fisk University (dpelly@fisk.edu) with the following subject line in your email: "Submission of Abstract for True Storytelling Conference". 

     

    Notifications:  Acceptance will be sent via email on or before September 30, 2023.
