    It's time to sign up for OMT Off-Program events! We have an amazing slate of options ranging from basketball to dim sum, and ethnography communities to security/defense studies.     Aug 4 (Friday):

    OMT Sunset Cruise: 7:30 pm – Charles Riverboard Company

    Organized by Vikram Bhargava (GW) and Gaston de los Reyes (Northeastern)

     

    Aug 5 (Saturday):

    OMT Moves: 7 am – Morning walk along the Charles River Esplanade

    Organized by Madeline Toubiana (University of Ottawa)

    Connect with other OMTers for a morning walk along the Charles River Esplanade. We will meet at the Dartmouth Street Footbridge.

     

    OMT Café: 4 pm – Women of OB Meetup

    You like basketball? You want to have some fun playing pickup games in Boston, in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere? Please join this new OMT Basketball session on Sunday morning (10 to 11:30am) in Back Bay Fens! Everyone is welcome, from beginners to former NBA players ;)

    Calling all people who have an interest/infatuation with dim sum! Boston has the only Chinatown in New England. And it's filled with delightful and delicious culinary options! Come join us for many small plates of dumplings, rolls, steamed buns, and more. This is for dim sum aficionados and newbies alike!   Feel free to either meet us at Hei La Moon at 12:30 pm or walk over with us from the Park Plaza Hotel at 12:15 pm.   Spots are limited: please RSVP to Shelby at shelby.gai@broad.msu.edu by Aug 4 so we know to expect you!

     

    OMT Café: 2:30 pm – Security/Defense Studies

    Join scholars spanning management/organizational studies and security/defense studies! We welcome researchers thinking about or already experienced in this space (e.g., in the use of samples, empirical settings, methods, constructs, and/or theory). We welcome anyone interested, including management scholars affiliated with PME institutions and/or in adjacent topical areas like extreme contexts. Scholars in attendance include Madeleine Rauch (Stanford University) and Mark de Rond (University of Cambridge).

     

    OMT Café: 4:30 pm – Paradox Community

    Hosted by: Soniya Rijal (UNSW, Sydney) and Eriselda Danaj (IESE Business School)

    Join us for an evening of relaxation and creativity at the "Drinking Away Tensions" event organized by Soniya Rijal and Eriselda Danaj on behalf of the Paradox community. To make this experience even more memorable, we will provide DSLR cameras for all participants, allowing you to capture a diverse range of captivating images. These delightful pictures will have the opportunity to be featured in our esteemed Paradox Community Album. Furthermore, an intriguing secret prize awaits the winner of the best photograph, so be prepared to showcase your creativity and talent.     Are you working on or interested in projects on sustainable investing? And do you want to connect with like-minded scholars at various career stages? Please consider joining this informal get together. The community of organizational scholars who work on sustainable investing is small and dispersed. This event is an opportunity to bring us all closer together – and of course have some fun!
