🌍 What might Afrotopia look like in times of technological transformation?

This is the central question explored in an upcoming Special Issue of the Africa Journal of Management (AJOM), the official journal of the Africa Academy of Management:

Finding Afrotopia in Times of Technological Transformation – Toward Pluriversal African Future-Making

Inspired by Felwine Sarr's vision of Afrotopia, the Special Issue invites scholars to explore how organizations, governments, entrepreneurs, communities, and citizens across Africa are shaping futures amid rapid technological change:

    • How can technological transformation support alternative African modernities that genuinely serve the continent's people?
    • How might African philosophies, traditions, and organizing practices inspire pluriversal approaches to future-making?
    • What opportunities and risks do AI, platform economies, digital ecosystems, and geopolitical transformations create for African futures?

We welcome conceptual and empirical contributions addressing these and related questions, as outlined in the call (https://doi.org/10.13140/RG.2.2.23803.27687).
