    About the speakers:

Kathleen Eisenhardt is the Stanford W. Ascherman M.D. Professor and a faculty member in the Stanford Technology Ventures Program. Her research focus is strategy and organization, especially in technology-based companies and high-velocity industries. She is currently studying the use of "simple rules" heuristics, strategic interaction in new markets and ecosystems, strategy making in marketplaces, and business model design. She often uses multi-case theory building methods and more recently machine learning for theory building.

Mohammed Bendaanane is a PhD Candidate in Entrepreneurship at TUM School of Management in Munich, Germany, part of the Entrepreneurship Research Institute and the Chair of Corporate Sustainability. His primary research interest centers on entrepreneurship as a tool to address social and environmental issues, particularly studying sustainable energy ventures in Kenya. In a second stream of research, he also studies entrepreneurship in institutionally challenging contexts, specifically in contexts of poverty and necessity.

Karla Luna Corres is PhD Candidate at the University of Massachusetts-Boston as part of Organizations and Social Change program. She has worked in central California doing work around community organizing, public policy, and affordable housing. Her current research and goal are to become an expert in socially driven organizations operating in the context of housing in the U.S. and Mexico. Currently, she is a Fulbright Researcher doing her data collection in collaboration with a Mexican social organization focused on providing housing in Mexico.
