This PDW brings together leading scholars to discuss how extreme events, such as wars, terrorism, forced displacement, natural disasters, and pandemics, are reshaping the ways entrepreneurship develops and functions. We take a full lifecycle perspective, from early warning signs through unfolding disruptions to long-term recovery, and focus on three key areas for theory development: understanding crises as ongoing processes, capturing the conflicting experiences of stakeholders, and moving beyond frameworks built for stable environments.
The session is structured in two parts:
Part 1 - Expert Perspectives:
Eight leading scholars and voices will share insights from their own research, reflect on where the field is heading, and identify where we still need to push further. We are really happy to welcome:
