Interested in designing-and publishing-high-quality replication research in management?
Join us at the 2026 Academy of Management Annual Meeting for an inclusive, practical workshop for PhD students, faculty, supervisors, and researchers at every career stage:
How to Design, Conduct and Publish High-Quality Replication Studies
📅 Saturday, August 1, 2026
🕗 8:00–10:00 a.m.
📍 Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, Level 4, Franklin 3
Sponsor divisions: RM, ENT, HR, OB, OMT, STR, TIM
The workshop will address both quantitative and qualitative replication studies, including how to:
• select and position a study for replication
• design and conduct a rigorous replication
• test and interpret replication results
• use qualitative restudies to support retheorizing
• navigate the publication process
• access resources supporting replication scholars
Panelists and mentors include Don Bergh, Xavier Martin, William (Billy) Obenauer, PhD, Andreas Schwab, Scott Seibert and (via slides) Maria Rumyantseva.
Alongside presentations and an editor panel, the session will include Q&A and round-table discussions offering hands-on advice. No prior application is required, and everyone is welcome.
Researchers seeking more personalized feedback may submit an abstract of a proposed replication study-up to five pages-to ReplicationsAOM@gmail.com by July 28, 2026.
