Please join us in Boston for an OMT Showcase Symposium on employer prosociality and wage inequality: Does Employer Prosociality Reduce or Augment Wage Inequality?
Tuesday, August 8 from 8:00am to 9:30am in the Whittier Room of the Park Plaza hotel
There is growing evidence that workers may be willing to accept lower wages to work for employers that engage (or at least claim to engage in) prosocial behavior. Variation in these preferences across gender, education, or social class, however, raises questions as to whether employers' efforts to trade prosociality for wages augments or ameliorates wage inequality. In this symposium, scholars will present and discuss work around this question.
