Our Department
Most departments say they are collegial, but we truly are, as evidenced by multiple faculty research collaborations, broad commitment to PhD students, and a close-knit, work-at-the- office culture. We offer an undergraduate major, PhD program in management, and also support the full-time and on-line MBA programs. All degree programs are fully accredited by the AACSB, and our Department is ranked 6th in the world in Family Business and Entrepreneurship research. Our success in the area of family business and entrepreneurship is a consequence of an ability to blend the diverse skills of faculty from multiple fields in management into an integrated team. The Family Business Education Initiative (https://www.business.msstate.edu/faculty-research/research-centers/family-business- education-initiative) is housed in the Department, and MSU's Center for Entrepreneurship and Outreach (https://ecenter.msstate.edu/) is housed in the College of Business.
