Join us for this highly interactive caucus designed to create ideas and collaborations for theory development arising from the phenomenon of self-managing organisations...
Session 600: The Employees of Self-Managing Organizations: Free as a Bird, Chained to the Ground, or in Between?
Self-managing organizations (SMOs) are characterized by radically decentralized, flat structures that promise high freedom and flexibility to employees, yet may also create new opportunities for managerial control. Robust empirical evidence and strong theoretical bases are needed for research to progress in this domain. This caucus aims to connect members to encourage the development of research ideas and collaborations to generate impactful theory development targeted at high impact journals.

2. What contribution does it make to the literature?
3. What contribution does it make to practice?
If you have an idea you would like to discuss you can submit this before the caucus as a brief one-pager in response to these questions. Please submit this to Julian Markus (julian.jonathan.markus@wu.ac.at). Spontaneous suggestions will also be sought in the caucus.
