Hello friends and colleagues,
We want to invite you to our pre-colloquium workshop for EGOS 2025 in Athens: "Creating Community and Gaining Perspective: Expertise and Technology Now and Then". This PDW is a space to build community around the study of expertise and to encourage researchers to take a historical and cultural perspective on their work. It is supported by the EGOS Standing Working Group (SWG) 08 on "Expertise in and around Organizations"
In this workshop will first visit a local museum in order to learn and talk about the ways in which technology and expertise have mutually constituted each other. Then, we will have small group discussions to share our research and responses to prompts. The PDW will take place on Wednesday July 2, from 09:00 to 13:00 outside of the main Colloquium venue.
We invite anyone studying expertise to apply before April 30. Preference will be given to PhD students and early-career scholars. Please go to the EGOS website to learn more.
