Are you developing a paper, working paper, or early-stage research idea related to race and entrepreneurship?

The fifth annual Race and Entrepreneurship PDW at the 2026 Academy of Management Annual Meeting will give selected participants the opportunity to receive focused feedback from current and former editors of leading entrepreneurship journals, including:

Chevy Fang, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice
Annaleena Parhankangas, Journal of Small Business Management
Dennis Park, Journal of Business Venturing
Maija Renko, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice
    Peter Younkin, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal

We welcome theoretically grounded and empirically rigorous research examining how race shapes entrepreneurial processes, opportunities, organizations, markets, institutions, and outcomes. Race and entrepreneurship are both defined broadly, and we welcome a range of theories, methods, settings, and stages of development.

The session is designed to help scholars strengthen their theoretical contribution, framing, manuscript development, positioning for publication, and approach to editorial and peer-review feedback.

    Early-stage work is welcome.

    Submit a 3–5-page, double-spaced extended abstract by Friday, July 17, 2026:
