Get feedback on your movements and markets projects
We are currently accepting submissions to our 10th annual AOM PDW on Movements and Markets on Saturday, August 1st from 8:00 am to 11:30 am at the Sheraton (Liberty Ballroom B, Ballroom Level).
This year's theme, Movements in Political Turmoil, examines how activism and corporate response are reshaped under political instability. Rising populism, democratic backsliding, anti-ESG backlash, and polarized regulatory environments have altered both the opportunity structures available to activists and the strategic calculus facing firms. Building on last year's focus on collaborative activism, the PDW asks how movements maintain effectiveness amid political hostility, how firms balance stakeholder demands against politicized backlash, and what shapes movement influence when institutions are contested or unstable.
As in past years, we'll begin with an expert panel and discussion followed by a networking break that all are welcome to attend, no submission or registration required. The final portion of the program is our research roundtables. These are a great opportunity to get the feedback you need, anything from vetting an idea for a new research project to hammering out details on a finished manuscript. The roundtables are open to all levels of scholarship. In the past, we've had participants just starting their PhDs, full professors, and everyone in-between.
To apply for the research roundtables, please submit an up to 3 page (about 1,000 words) summary of a new research idea or current research project by June 29th via https://forms.gle/VW1ymhhGjQZoLFmr8. For questions, email Jun Byun at JByun@iese.edu.
Please share this invitation with any colleagues or doctoral students who may be interested. Thanks and we hope to see you there!
