    CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

    Application Deadline: May 25, 2026

We are pleased to announce that the Organization and Management Theory (OMT) Division will once again host its Junior Faculty Consortium as part of the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting. This year, the consortium is scheduled on Friday, July 31, 2026. The consortium will be in person in Philadelphia, PA.

If you have started a faculty position within the last few years, this consortium is designed for you! The consortium will provide an intimate forum for interacting with senior colleagues and peers about how to thrive in academia.

The program will feature a combination of feedback sessions, panels, and facilitated discussions on four key topics:

    1. Developing your research for publication with guidance from seasoned scholars in your area.
    2. Strategies for impact and growth as a researcher and educator.
    3. Navigating the early years of a faculty career in diverse institutional settings.
    4. Preparing for promotion and tenure (e.g., building relationships with letter writers, managing professional networks, and crafting a compelling research narrative).

Additionally, we are planning a Welcome Reception on the evening of Thursday, July 30, 2026, which will provide an opportunity to connect with fellow participants and mentors in a more informal setting.

We are pleased to share that the following faculty mentors have confirmed their participation. Many have served as editors for leading journals and have received prestigious awards for research and teaching. Our mentors represent a range of career levels and geographies and will provide diverse perspectives.

    Application Instructions

We invite applications to the Junior Faculty Consortium (JFC) from scholars holding a Postdoc or faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level (or equivalent) whose research engages with OMT-related topics. We also encourage deans, department chairs, former participants, and other faculty members to share this opportunity with eligible junior colleagues.

The consortium is designed to foster meaningful interaction among participants and mentors. To maintain a high mentor-to-participant ratio, space for this consortium remains limited. Applicants must be members of the Academy of Management OMT Division at the time of participation.

Applications are due by May 25th, 2026 and must include the following:

    1. Name, email address, current title, and institutional affiliation
    2. Ranked preferences for up to three faculty mentors
    3. Curriculum vitae (CV)
    4. An extended abstract (maximum 5 pages) of a working paper on which you wish to receive feedback

The registration fee for the Consortium is $75 USD. A limited number of fee waivers are available to participants who may not have access to institutional funding.
