Diversity in Organizations
Special Issue of the Journal of Organizational Sociology
Deadline for submission of first abstracts of 500 words: 7 February 2026

Although the concept of diversity has only entered management discussions in recent decades, organizations have long dealt with various forms of diversity. What is new about current perspectives on diversity is that they come with a normative claim.
This special issue addresses current changes in how organizations deal with diversity and invites contributions that discuss theoretical, empirical, and methodological approaches to diversity in organizations.
Contributions may address, among others:
– approaches from organizational theory
– specifics and differences between types of organizations
– organizations in international comparison
– methodological approaches to studying diversity in organizations
