Organization and Management Theory OMT

The Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources (OBHR) division of the University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business is accepting applications for our PhD Program. We welcome applications from students whose interests might align with our faculty's longstanding commitment to issues at the intersection between business and social good. In particular, we encourage applications from students interested in exploring such issues through the lens of organization theory / sociology and inductive qualitative methodologies (e.g., ethnography, interviews, case studies). Successful applicants will contribute to building our division's expertise in issues ranging from how to manage institutional change in emerging economies to how technologies like AI have been shaping the future of work and organizing to how workers have navigated their careers during a time when doing so has become increasingly fraught.
