Dear colleagues,
Summer is at our doorstep, which for many of us signals the beginning of conference season-AoM, EGOS, EURAM, to name just a few.
For many PhD candidates, however, summer also marks the beginning of "dissertation marathon season." With a temporary pause in sessional lecturing, grading contracts, and other work undertaken to finance doctoral studies, this period often provides a rare opportunity: uninterrupted time and mental space to make meaningful progress on one's dissertation.
Yet, this season often comes with mixed emotions. Relief, excitement, hope, eagerness. frequently coexist with anxiety, loneliness, an overwhelming feeling of being buried under a mountain of data, or the dreaded blank page.
I sure can relate; I was once was there myself.
But hold-on, you will get through this. And you do not need to be alone:
I am writing to let you know about my services as a dissertation mentor.
I dedicate myself to accompanying Master's, MBA, and PhD candidates through the challenging journey of carrying their dissertation across the finish line, with a disciplined yet compassionate approach.
I cater to candidates in organizational theory, strategy, entrepreneurship, and organizational behavior relying on a qualitative methodology.
With respect to the manuscript's content, my counselling aims to:
- ensure a thorough, extensive, and soundly built literature review
- frame a relevant and logical research question
- build a solid conceptual framework that will allow them to tackle the research question
- sharpen and tighten the methodology (data collection and analysis)
and - at a broader level, address the coherence of the manuscript's overall structure and organization.
With respect to candidates' venture through the meanders of writing their dissertation, I wish to offer a safe space where they can have:
- a sounding board-someone with whom they can brainstorm their ideas, doubts, and questions away from our typically competitive academic environment
- guidance on how to cope with the stress, the anxiety, the unknown, and the overwhelming nature inherent in writing a dissertation
- someone they can vent to during the darker and more daunting hiatuses of their journey, when everything seems impossible
Don't hesitate to email me for further details.
Best,
