Session: Panel Symposium - Building Workplaces for Better Mental Health
    Time: Tuesday, August 4, 2026, 13:15–14:45 CEST
Location: Philadelphia Marriott Downtown: Level 4: 408

This symposium brings together a group of highly experienced panelists from different domains who are all experts on conducting research on mental health, careers, and organizational environments. During their presentations, these panelists will 1) share novel insights on how different organizational forms and support systems can shape employees' mental health outcomes, 2) showcase a range of theoretical lenses and methodologies scholars can leverage to study these important issues, and 3) reflect on how scholars can more systematically translate theoretical insights into practical guidance for relevant stakeholders. The goal of this symposium is to help researchers new to this topic develop a deeper understanding of recent and ongoing work on the topic and identify interesting and relevant questions for future research. In so doing, we hope to inspire researchers to engage in new research and translate their findings to organizations and individuals who are concerned about building workplaces for better mental health.

    Panelists:
    • Lamar Pierce (Washington University in St. Louis)
    • Johan Wiklund (Syracuse University)
    • Yuna Cho (Sungkyunkwan University)
