2nd EXTREME CONTEXT MENTORING PROGRAM dedicated to early career researchers interested in extreme context!
The program is designed to provide guidance and support to postdocs and junior faculty (non-tenured) as they navigate their academic and professional journeys. While we appreciate your time, we are also aware you are incredibly busy. As such, we are seeking dedicated faculty members who are willing to volunteer their time to mentor one individual, twice a year (1-2h in total per year)! We have designed this program as high impact but low time commitment. The commitment involves meeting with your mentee at least twice a year, (though more frequent interactions are encouraged if your schedule allows).

By becoming a mentor, you will have the chance to:
- Share your expertise and experiences.
- Help guide the next generation of scholars and professionals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and support within our community.
Your involvement would be invaluable, and I believe it would be a rewarding experience for both mentor and mentee. If you are interested in participating, please fill in the below information. We plan to start this mentoring initiative this fall (2025), and the idea is that the first meeting happens this fall/winter (2025) and the 2nd meeting in spring/summer (2026). The idea is not to act as a supervisor or 'boss', but as a friendly exchange to further foster and build our community.
Thank you in advance for considering this opportunity to give back to our community. I look forward to the possibility of working alongside you in this important initiative. Feel free to reach out at any time.
All my best,
Madeleine
