We are writing to invite you to participate in the POPN Follow-Up Survey. The Practice-Oriented Publications Network (POPN) is a collaborative initiative involving Michael Barnett, Academy of Management Perspectives, Idie Kesner, Business Horizons , and Daniel Tzabbar of Organizational Dynamics.
This initiative focuses on reconnecting management scholarship with practice. An earlier global survey revealed a substantial gap between the current and desired relevance of management research to real organizational challenges. This follow-up survey explores concrete pathways for building a stronger two-way bridge between scholarship and practice, including incentives, doctoral training, journal norms, and infrastructure for scholar–practitioner collaboration.
The survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. Most questions are open-ended, and your candid, specific insights will directly inform a joint editorial statement and action plan. All responses are confidential and will be reported only in aggregate or anonymized form.
