The Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management, a preeminent professional association for management and organization scholars, is held in early August. The AOM's Mission is "To build a vibrant and supportive community of scholars by markedly expanding opportunities to connect and explore ideas" and this is certainly one of the greatest opportunities to join scholars from all over the world in a different city each year.

This Community aims to support dialogue among scholars who share a double conviction: (a) that the socio-economic structures that dominate the world today can and should be replaced by ones that better support human flourishing, and (b) that the contours of more appropriate structures are already emerging, if we only know where to look.
