Created in August 2012, the OMT Communications Team is a group of 20+ volunteers who work hard to keep our membership engaged and up to date on important topics and events. We do this by writing blogs, interviewing OMT scholars, and sharing information on our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) during conferences like AOM and EGOS.
The Communications Team is always looking for new members. It is open to all, and is an excellent opportunity to get to know people on the OMT Executive Committee, top OMT scholars in our field, and simply become more involved in the wonderful OMT community. If you are interested in finding out more information, please email Shipeng Yan.
OMT Membership Group (OMG)
Are you looking for a way to get more involved with OMT? Would you like to give back to your academic community? OMT is looking for your help! We are building the first ever OMT Membership Group (OmtMG or OMG for short)! As a volunteer you will do some of the following activities: greet new members at OMT Socials at AOM and EGOS (and be the keeper of the drink tickets); represent OMT at All-Academy Events and Consortia; organize and attend existing OMT social events including OMT Drinks, OMT Yoga, OMT Café, OMT Eats, OMT Runs; and develop new ideas, programs and innovations that truly make OMT the place to be!
OMG is open to all– from PHD students to Chaired Professors. Please email your interest to Shelby Gai (shelby.gai@broad.msu.edu).
