Emilio J. Castilla (Incoming Program Chair-Elect)
Emilio J. Castilla is the NTU professor of Management and professor of Work and Organization Studies at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is currently the co-director of the Institute for Work and Employment Research. He joined MIT in 2005, after being a faculty member in the Management Department of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his PhD in Sociology from Stanford University. His research focuses on questions relating to how social and organizational processes (for example, social networks, hiring and recruiting efforts, performance-reward systems, and managerial roles) influence key employment outcomes for individuals and organizations over time. He formulates and answers his research questions in a variety of research settings, making use of field studies and diverse research methodologies. Recently, given the widely popular goals of promoting meritocracy and creating opportunity inside institutions, his work has focused on the role that merit and merit-based organizational practices play in shaping employees’ careers in today’s workplaces. His work has appeared in Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, ILR Review, American Journal of Sociology, and American Sociological Review. He is currently on the editorial board of Work and Occupations, and is associate editor of Management Science (Organizations) and the ILR Review. He has been a member of the OMT division since 2000, and has organized and participated in several OMT activities, including doctoral student consortia, paper sessions, PDWs, and OMT social hours.
Srivida Jandhyala (Incoming Rep-at-Large)
Srividya Jandhyala is an Associate Professor of Management at ESSEC Business School. Prior to joining ESSEC in Singapore, she served on the faculty of the George Washington University in Washington, DC. She was previously also a Fung Global Fellow and Visiting Research Scholar at Princeton University and received her PhD in Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on business-government relations in international settings, examining both cooperation between the public and private sectors as well as conflicts and disputes between them. She has examined phenomena such as political risk, infrastructure investment in emerging markets, diplomacy in international business, and legal dispute resolution. Her research has been published in a wide range of journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Conflict Resolution, World Development, and Strategy Science.
Kisha Lashley (Incoming Rep-at-Large)
Kisha Lashley is an assistant professor of commerce at the McIntire School of Commerce. She received her Ph.D. from Penn State University. Her research focuses on questions related to organizational social evaluations such as stigma, reputation, and status, particularly in entrepreneurial firms. She is also interested in how organizations and their audiences use language to affect social evaluations. Her work has been published in outlets such as the Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science and Academy of Management Annals. Kisha started going to AOM in 2010, and soon discovered that OMT was where she wanted to be. She is a current member of the OMT Research Committee, reviews for OMT annually, and has organized symposia within the division.
Danielle Logue (Incoming Rep-at-Large)
Danielle Logue is Associate Professor of Innovation, Organization and Management at UTS Business School, University of Technology Sydney, Australia. She holds a DPhil in Management from the University of Oxford, and has been a visiting scholar at Stanford University, the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, University of Oxford, IAE Business School Argentina, and University of Cambridge UK. Her research interests include institutional and organizational theory, innovation and entrepreneurship, especially social innovation and impact. Her research has appeared in journals such as the Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Annals, Human Relations, Journal of Management Inquiry, and Research in the Sociology of Organizations. Her recent book is Theories of Social Innovation, published by Edward Elgar, shortlisted as Book of the Year (2020) by EURAM. In addition to being a sub-theme convenor many times at EGOS, and hosting international workshops for the Asia-Pacific OMT community, Danielle actively contributes to the OMT Division by being a reviewer, presenter, session chair, and symposium organizer. In recent years, she has been a faculty facilitator for both the OMT Doctoral Student Consortium and the Junior Faculty Consortium.
